Steve Wedan, Chief Executive Officer and Board Member
Steve Wedan has a BS in Electrical Engineering from Michigan Technological University, summa cum laude, and a MS in Electrical Engineering from Marquette University. He has 19 years of medical device experience, including design engineering of MRI and ultrasound systems for GE Healthcare, as well as Vice President and Chief Technology Officer for Applied Biometrics Inc. Prior to co-founding Imricor, Mr. Wedan founded and operated a successful technical consulting company, Wedan Technologies Inc., from 2000-2006. Mr. Wedan is a U.S. appointed expert in the fields of MRI safety and the compatibility of implanted and interventional products in MRI.
Gregg Stenzel, Vice President of Operations
Gregg Stenzel has a BS in Electrical Engineering from the University of Wisconsin-Madison and an MBA from the University of Minnesota-Carlson School of Business. He has over 10 years of medical device experience and brings a breadth of knowledge in new product development, supply chain management, quality/regulatory systems, and customer support. Previously, Mr. Stenzel was the Manager of Instrument Technical Operations at Beckman Coulter, Inc., a leading manufacturer of In Vitro Diagnostic Systems, where he directed a multi-disciplined engineering team with a yearly budget exceeding $10 million. As Director of Engineering, Mr. Stenzel leads all hardware research and development activities at Imricor. Additionally, he will be responsible for operations during the first year, leading the development of initial manufacturing strategies (personnel, facilities, outsourcing, etc.).
Dan Sunnarborg, Vice President of Research and Development
Dan Sunnarborg has a BS in Engineering Physics from North Dakota State University and a MS in Electrical Engineering from Marquette University. He has 15 years of engineering experience in fields such as medical devices, telecommunications, defense, and consumer electronics. Mr. Sunnarborg has held various design software engineering positions, and has been leading software development groups for the past 8 years. Prior to joining Imricor, he was the Manager of Software Development at väsamed, a medical device manufacturer specializing in noninvasive cardiology tools for managing patients’ hemodynamic health. As Director of Software Development, Mr. Sunnarborg leads all software development activities at Imricor, including platform development, system control, image processing, user interface, and outsource partnerships.
